On June 2, winners were celebrated and regional Effie Index rankings were revealed at the 48th Annual North American Effie Awards Gala in New York.
Groceries not guns from Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America and Grey Canada took home the Grand Effie.
The North American Effie Index rankings revealed Procter & Gamble is the most effective marketer in North America for the sixth consecutive year. The other most effective companies in this year's regional ranking include a three way tie between CVS Health, truth and Walmart (brand), WPP (holding group), Ogilvy & Mather (agency network), Ogilvy & Mather New York (agency office) and San Francisco-based Heat (independent agency).

Winners of the 2016 Effie UK program were revealed at their inaugural Awards Ceremony, held at London's BAFTA, on May 19. The evening also recognized and celebrated finalists and winners of this year's Global Effie Awards.
A special recognition was given to WPP for their sustained achievement in the Effie Index, being named Most Effective Agency Holding Group globally for a record five years.
MullenLowe Group was named Effie UK's Agency Network of the Year.

The Grand Effie Jury for the 48th Annual North American Effie Awards has been announced.
On June 2, the jury will meet in New York City to analyze and debate the Grand Effie contenders (best in show) from the highest scored entries of the 2016 competition. The Grand Effie winner will be revealed at their Effie Gala later that evening.

Winners of the 6th annual North American Shopper Marketing Effie Awards were celebrated on March 16th at the Path to Purchase Institute’s 2016 Shopper Marketing Summit.
Walmart and Unilever led this year’s competition, each winning four Shopper Marketing Effies, while Procter & Gamble won three awards.
