Denny's needed to improve quality perceptions by beating IHOP at its own game: pancakes.  But after discovering 49% of Americans believed they made the best pancakes, it became clear that we had to challenge our guests – not the competition.  It was time to take down Grandma (and Dad and Mom and little Suzy down the street) and introduce America to a fluffier future.
