This paper demonstrates communications’ ability to create large scale behaviour change. Through education, engagement and commitment, Ariel helped the nation to wash colder for the benefit of the environment.
People are demanding large brands do their part in helping reduce their environmental impact. Ariel is one of the major laundry players wanting to help reduce laundry’s carbon footprint. Ariel has committed to reducing the average washing temperature by 5 degrees by 2025 (vs 2020). This campaign reduced the average washing temperature by 2 degrees. These results therefore suggest that Ariel is well on the way to achieving its target.
