As a fast-food brand, when your signature item is a dish everyone serves, you can’t afford to miss any chances to dominate the conversation. So, when Checkers found out National French Fry Day wasn’t on a Friday, we brought it to the one person who could actually help us accomplish our goal. Through a nationwide petition that garnered 51,000 signatures and a hyper-targeted campaign in his hometown, we convinced the founder of the National Day Calendar to officially change the date for fry fans forever.
