With a new CEO and recently announced digitization mandate, ANZ saw an opportunity to not just catch up, but to win the race. Breaking rank from the other banks, ANZ partnered with Apple Pay. The ANZ Mobile Payments campaign tapped into a unique and universal consumer insight – the increasingly rapid desensitization to the novelty of innovation, driving a step change in brand perception and delivering a campaign ROI well ahead of category benchmarks.
