SUMMARY
Sunsuper members aged 50+ is the group most at-risk of churn. We needed to show soon-to-be-retirees that
withdrawing their super at retirement was not their only, or best option – by educating them on the benefits of a
Retirement Income Account. This product had low awareness amongst members (less than 50%) and negligible
awareness among prospective members. The solution was to position Sunsuper’s RIA as the key to achieving autonomy
in retirement – to effectively become your own boss, in charge of your salary and bonus. The results exceeded all
campaign objectives for total pension inflows during and post the campaign period.
