2012 it was ANZ that lay sole claim to this moniker: in an ‘interest rates rebellion’ ANZ broke ranks with the RBA, hiking
interest rates, causing customer satisfaction to plummet.
To stand out without a price advantage (in a market obsessed with rates), ANZ needed to connect to home buyers’ hearts, not just
their ‘back pockets.’
Five years later, the results say it all: record breaking purchase intent, an% increase in applications and a massive increase
in funds-under-management.
