Famous for its iconic slogan ‘Have a Break, Have a KitKat’ and its unique chocolate-wafer fingers that people break apart to enjoy, KitKat has been a synonymous with breaks for 60+ years.
That was, until 2016 when KitKat lost ownership of its iconic occasion resulting in a dip in brand health and a correlated decline in sales; Aussies had stopped breaking with KitKat.
A shift in brand strategy returned the brand to its status as the undisputed chocolate for breaks and went on to become the new global platform for KitKat.
