Presidents Trump and Putin have become known enemies to press freedom. As they held their first official summit in Helsinki, Newspaper Helsingin Sanomat reminded them of the value of free press.
The paper created an outdoor campaign that targeted the presidents as they drove from the airport to the summit and welcomed them to the "land of free press". Overnight the campaign drew massive attention to the state of press freedom. “The Land of Free Press was a timely reminder of how endangered press freedom is worldwide,'' wrote The Economist.
