SUMMARY
For years, Pandora had been the category leader in streaming music. By 2014 press was predicting the year of the Pandora killers, and emerging competitors were spending hundreds of millions of dollars to lure Pandoras listeners away. Instead of telling listeners how Pandora provided a better experience, we created live, FaceTime concerts where listeners could feel how the Pandora experience was different. The campaign saw an average of a 69% increase in listening hours for the campaigns featured artists (Pandora Campaign Tracker, 2014).
