SUMMARY
In May 2020, Kentucky bourbon brand Woodford reserve’s biggest annual marketing event, the Kentucky Derby, was canceled. Instead of folding our tents, we kept the spirit and tradition of the Derby alive, injecting a dose of optimism and positivity into the world during a time of deep uncertainty. Sponsoring a tribute to all things Derby on its original date, May 2, 2020, we struck a chord, earning over 300 million impressions and driving +32% sales growth during and immediately after the campaign.
