To reassert leadership in the Collaborative Work Management (CWM) space — a crowded category with new competitors — Smartsheet emphasized “process” as the success driver. Turning a routine wave of customer research into an engaging, interactive quiz, we personified the realities of modern work while shifting perception of what CWM is and the people who use it. The quiz had a 74% completion rate with 35k+ completions. Respondents averaged over 8-minutes in the experience, over 21% clicked on a follow-on call to action and Smartsheet’s brand awareness increased by 4%.
