To continue leadership trajectory, WhatsApp needed to shift the relationship with their brand from a functional one to an emotional one and partnered with Meta’s very first brand ambassador, NBA Superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo to bring this to life. The campaign not only lifted brand favorability by 6.6%, but it shifted perception around the brands value proposition of helping people feel closer to their culture.
